Meet Ignus Dreyer, the heart and soul of SCPS Photos. Raised in a small town on the Garden Route, Ignus was always captivated by the ocean's power and beauty. This early fascination sparked a lifelong passion for capturing the world's inherent beauty, a passion that would eventually lead him to a career in photography.
Before stepping behind the lens, Ignus dedicated his life to helping others. He spent many years as a nurse and a highly qualified Advanced Life Support Paramedic. While this career was rewarding, Ignus felt a calling to explore a different path, one that could combat the anger and hatred he often witnessed with moments of joy, beauty, and celebration.
In 2013, Ignus turned his hobby into a profession, embarking on a journey into the world of photography. Over the past decade, he has honed his skills and developed a keen eye for capturing important and beautiful moments in people's lives. His goal is not just to take a photo, but to encapsulate the feelings of the moment, bringing out the best in every shot.
Ignus is now the proud owner of SSFD/SCPS, a photography studio that has been a part of Stellenbosch culture since its establishment in 1978 and registration in 1996. Under Ignus's leadership, SCPS Photos continues to strive for excellence, producing high-quality images that clients can treasure for eternity.
